The Coupé wall lamp, designed by Joe Colombo in 1967 and manufactured by Oluce in Italy, is a versatile metal lamp that can be adjusted to emit both direct and reflected light. Initially stemming from the Spider family, the lamp shares its base and stem, but with the addition of a unique mechanism that allows the head to be moved in multiple directions. This ingenuity earned it the International Design Award from the American Institute of Interior Designers in Chicago in 1968, and it continues to be a part of permanent collections at the MoMA in New York and the Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich. While the original lamp had a semi-spherical dome, over the years, the collection expanded, encompassing table, floor, and wall lamps in both semi-cylindrical and spherical styles, and are available in black or white. Measuring in at D154 cm x WXcm x H143 cm and equipped with 1 x max 100 W E27 bulb, the lamp is made of chromium-plated metal and aluminum. The Oluce brand has been in operation since 1945 and has been recognized for producing some of the most iconic and beautiful lighting designs in the world, including those by Tito Agnoli, Marco Zanuso, and VIco Magistretti.
