Joe Colombo's 1967 design, the 'Coupé' wall lamp, is a sleek metal lamp that can be rotated for direct or reflected lighting. This adjustable lamp was manufactured by Oluce in Italy and is part of the Coupé series, which was originally a variation of the Spider family also designed by Colombo. The lamp features a simple mechanism that allows users to direct the beam in various directions by moving the dome up, down, or sideways. In 1968, Coupé won the International Design Award of the American Institute of Interior Designers in Chicago and has since become part of the permanent collections at MoMA in New York and the Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich. Available in semi-cylindrical or semi-spherical domes and white or black colors, the lamp measures D 93 cm x W x cm x H 115 cm and requires 1 x max 100 W (E27) bulb. Founded in 1945, Oluce is the oldest Italian lighting design company still in operation today with a crisp, linear, and decorative aesthetic. Their lamps can be found in numerous permanent design collections worldwide.
