The 'Coupé' wall lamp, envisioned by Joe Colombo in 1967, is a metal lamp that can be adjusted and rotated to direct direct and reflected light. It is manufactured by Oluce in Italy. Originally conceived as a variation of the Spider family, which was also created by Colombo, the Coupé series retained the base and stem. The simple, yet ingenious mechanism connecting the stem to the head enables the user to move the dome up, down, and sideways to adjust the beam in multiple directions. Coupé won the "International Design Award" at the American Institute of Interior Designers in Chicago in 1968 and is part of the permanent collection at the MoMA in New York and the "Neue Sammlung" Museum in Munich. Over the years, Oluce has created many models of Coupé, ranging from the traditional table lamp to floor and wall lamps, in two versions: semi-cylindrical and semi-spherical domes. The lamp is available in white and black color. With its chromium-plated metal and aluminum construction, the Coupé lamp is a desirable piece of lighting with unparalleled quality and elegance. Measuring D 154 cm x W X cm x H 143 cm, the lamp uses 1 x max 100 W (E27) bulb, and the production delay is eight weeks. Founded in 1945, Oluce is the oldest Italian design company in the lighting industry still functional today. The brand's design motto is crisp, linear, and decorative, representing an intellectual beauty that has resulted in some of the most recognized and admired lighting designs globally. Oluce has received many acknowledgments, including two Golden Compass awards, two Design Awards, and a Gold Medal at the 13th Triennale in Milan. Its lamps are part of the most important permanent design collections worldwide. The company's manufacturing excellence transforms untiring technological research into light potential, resulting in objects that represent its unparalleled expertise. Oluce's lights are an essential component of any interior decoration style, and their collections align with the design trends of every era. Some of the company's top designers include Tito Agnoli, Marco Zanuso, and VIco Magistretti, among others. Recent lamp collections carry on Oluce's design approach, represented by Italian and foreign designers like Nicola Gallizia, Nendo, and David Lopez Quincoces.
