Designed by Joe Colombo in 1967, the 'Coupé' table lamp from Oluce features a lacquered metal base and a chromium-plated stem. The lamp has an adjustable reflector made of lacquered aluminium and provides direct light. It can be directed in multiple directions, thanks to a simple mechanism that connects the stem to the head. This lamp won the International Design Award in Chicago in 1968 and is now part of the permanent collections of the MoMA in New York and the Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich. The lamp is finished in white and measures D X cm x W X cm x H 40 cm. It requires 1 x max 100W (E27) bulb and is not UL Listed. Founded in 1945, Oluce is the oldest Italian design company in the lighting sector and has won numerous awards for their beautifully crafted lighting pieces. Their design aesthetic is both crisp and decorative, and they continue to revolutionize the lighting industry with their technological advancements. Some of their most iconic designs have been created by Tito Agnoli, Joe Colombo, Marco Zanuso, Ostuni and Forti, and VIco Magistretti. More recent collections reaffirm their love for design and decoration, and feature designs by international designers such as Angeletti & Ruzza, Francesco Rota, Nendo, VIctor Vasilev, Nicola Gallizia, Christophe Pillet, Mist-o, and David Lopez Quincoces.
