The Joe Colombo Model #3321 "Coupé" floor lamp in black for Oluce is a testament to the iconic midcentury Italian design. It comprises a black lacquered metal base, a chrome stem, and a lacquered aluminum adjustable reflector. This highly adjustable floor light allows for rotation of the shade up/down and right/left. Despite its original design in 1967, Oluce still produces this lamp with the utmost attention to detail, materials, and craftsmanship, utilizing many of the original manufacturing techniques. Initially developed as a variation of the Spider family, the Coupé series preserves its base and stem. Its simple yet ingenious mechanism allows for the beam to be directed in multiple directions by moving the head up, down, and sideways. The Coupé lamp won the "International Design Award" of the American Institute of Interior Designers in Chicago back in 1968. It has become a permanent fixture in the collections of some of the world's most iconic museums, including the MoMA in New York and the "Neue Sammlung" Museum in Munich.
