In 1968, Joe Colombo designed a set of six glasses, all inspired by geometrical shapes, showcasing his belief in functional and democratic design. Colombo, who had a passion for drinking and smoking, created a vast range of drinking glasses during his lifetime. Although his overindulgence led to his untimely demise, his designs live on. The glasses were intended for versatile use, including water, beer, long drinks, whisky, wine, champagne, juice, and even ice cream. Please note, some images may display other colors and variations of the model for interior design suggestions. The actual colors of the product may slightly vary due to different screen capabilities. Karakter, a Danish design company rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition with an international outlook, produced the glasses. The manufacturer's portfolio features furniture, lighting, and objects that are honest, expressive, and sometimes playful. Karakter collaborates with contemporary designers like Aldo Bakker, PlueerSmitt, and the masters Bodil Kjær, Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, Paul McCobb, Joe Colombo, and Angelo Mangiarotti, presenting works that have an undeniable and clear expression, ideal for placement in private and public spaces worldwide.
