The Acrilica Table Lamp, also known as the 281 model, was originally designed in 1962 by Joe and Gianni Colombo. Its name is a reference to its unique use of a curved piece of acrylic, which allows for exceptional light diffusion. Unlike typical methacrylate sheets, the lamp's thick and curved material conducts light from the base, resulting in a stunning visual effect. With its compact base, the lamp is versatile and suitable for various settings, from illuminating a sectional sofa to serving as a task lamp for a home workspace. To celebrate the lamp's 60th anniversary, Oluce has re-launched it with a Portoro Marble base, producing only 60 pieces.
