Jean Prouvé's Louvers from 1952 are a remarkable piece of design. Originating from The Unité d'habitation Air France in Brazzaville, Congo, this ground-level studio is one of only 19 ever created. The nine adjustable louvers, made from gray lacquered aluminum sheets, are skillfully connected by a rail system that can be controlled with an aluminum handle. The framed structure features folded aluminum sheets finished in a pale green lacquer. Produced in Nancy, France, by Ateliers "Jean Prouvé," this Louvers studio is still in good condition with noticeable patina from wear and tear and painting use. The metal display screen fixed on a bearing plate is included. The Louvers have been featured in numerous publications, including the exhibitions catalog "Jean Prouvé constructeur 1901-1984" and the monograph "Jean Prouvé constructeur" by Centre Georges Pompidou.
