The embossed aluminum element of the facade known as the "Grille" was designed by Jean Prouvé (1901-1984) for the INSA Chemistry building in the Campus Scientifique De La Doua. This particular model was manufactured by CIMT (Compagnie industrielle du matériel de transport), Neuilly sur Seine, France between 1956 and 1958. Its origin can be traced back to Lyon's Campus Scientifique De La Doua. Despite showing signs of aging, the element is still in good vintage condition and holds a certain charm.
