The IWC Portugieser 5001 made its debut in the watch world back in 2004. This exquisite timepiece boasts a sleek 42.3mm case housing a sophisticated self-winding movement. Notable features include a power reserve indicator at the 3 o'clock position, a date display at 6 o'clock, and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock. Originally equipped with the reliable caliber 50010 movement during its early years (around 2004-2005), subsequent models transitioned to either the 51010 (from 2005 to 2007) or the 51011 (from 2007 onwards) movements. The Reference IW5001-21 variant stands out with its Red Gold case and a Grey dial complemented by champagne-hued sub-dials, marking it as a boutique exclusive. While plans were made for a limited production of 500 units, only 350 of these distinguished timepieces were ultimately crafted, adding an element of rarity and exclusivity to this remarkable IWC Portugieser model.
