In 1988, Hans J. Wegner designed a range of armchairs for Frederecia Møbelfabrik, which he named "The Koldinghus Chair" after the old Danish castle Koldinghus. This was in conjunction with a major restoration project of the historical castle, which had been partly burned down during the Napoleon wars in 1808 and lay in partial ruin until the restoration. The elegant beech chairs, inspired by Wegner's signature design, offer the same comfort as his other famous chairs. Our expert cabinetmaker has meticulously restored these comfortable chairs to ensure they are in excellent condition, with only minimal signs of age and use. For your convenience, we are offering to re-upholster them in any "Kvadrat" fabric and color of your choice at no extra cost prior to shipment. However, if you prefer to handle the re-upholstery yourself, we offer a discount on the chairs.
