During the Cabinetmakers' Guild's Autumn Exhibition in 1943, Wegner showcased his initial interpretation of a chair that drew inspiration from an antiquated Chinese chair exhibited at the Danish Museum of Industrial Arts. Since then, Wegner has introduced more variations of this design. PP Møbler assisted in the development of the prototype for PP 56, which was eventually produced in 1989. This charming set of six oak and papercord PP66 chairs is in exceptional condition, with only minimal signs of wear on the paper-cords. If desired, seat weaving can be replaced at an additional cost upon the client's request.
