This particular design was specially commissioned for Magasin du Nord's department store during the 1950s. The retailer's shoe department was the lucky recipient of the limited number of pieces produced from this collection. The set of chairs up for sale here belongs to this collection. Crafted by Johannes Hansen in approximately 1951, these chairs bear similarities to the JH 507 model but feature unique characteristics such as alternative leather, slimmer side rails, a shallower coat hanger front rail, low side stretchers, inclined armrests, exposed wooden backs, and angled back legs at the seat rail. These chairs have a rich history originating from the esteemed Magasin du Nord in Denmark, and are now part of a private collection.
