In 1943, at the Cabinetmakers' Guild's Autumn Exhibition, Wegner unveiled his initial rendition of a chair influenced by an ancient Chinese chair he had admired at the Danish Museum of Industrial Arts. Subsequently, several other versions were created. The original design for PP 56 was a collaborative effort with PP Møbler, and was put into production in 1989. These oak and papercord PP66 chairs are in superb condition, with just minor blemishes on the paper-cords. Upon request, the seat weaving can be replaced for an additional fee. We presently have 6 of these exquisite chairs available.
