This stunning club table, designed by Hans J. Wegner and produced by Andreas Tuck in the 1960s, embodies the timeless beauty of classic Danish craftsmanship. Crafted from solid oak, this mid-century modern piece exemplifies the simplicity, functionality, and modesty that characterizes Danish design. In excellent condition and measuring D.33.5 x W.33.5 x H.18.9 inches (W.85 x D.85 x H.48 cm), it will be shipped abroad in a customized wooden crate, with transport to the US crate included for euro 475. Despite the scarcity of historical information about Andreas Tuck, its designs are widely recognized as exemplifying the Danish modern style, incorporating quality materials and expert workmanship. The company flourished in the 1950s and 1960s, notably due to the talent of Wegner, who created many iconic tables for Andreas Tuck, such as the AT 33 sewing table (1950s), the extendable AT-32 coffee table (1950s), AT-322 dining table (1960s), AT-15 coffee table (1960s), and AT-40 nesting tables (1960s), among others. In the early 1970s, Andreas Tuck sought out a new designer with Salesco's assistance, ultimately selecting the architect-designers Ebbe Gehl and Søren Nissen. However, their partnership was short-lived and did not produce any known work. Andreas Tuck is believed to have closed in 1972, with PP Møbler acquiring a significant portion of Wegner's table collection from the company in the mid-1970s.
