These extraordinary chairs are an original set of four 'W2' models designed by Hans J. Wegner in Denmark during the 1960s. The frames are made of teak with a modern style and a unique, stunning design featuring sculptural backrests and warm, rich teak frames. The seats have original faux leather in good condition, providing comfort and stability atop sturdy legs. The black upholstery blends well with classic mid century modern tones while the teak grains contrast nicely, resulting in classic mid-century modern styling and strong construction. These W2 chairs were created early in Wegner's career as a culmination of a lifetime of developing and studying design and the works of his contemporaries. They are comfortable, practical, strong, and durable, making them a joy to sit in for extended periods. These chairs are in excellent vintage condition and measure 22 inches wide, 17.5 inches deep, and 30 inches high with a seat height of 18 inches.
