Initially designed by Hans J. Wegner for the 1947 Copenhagen Cabinet Makers Guild Exhibition, the JH-813 chair was intended to be made out of wood. However, it wasn't until the 1970s when Danish company Johannes Hansen began manufacturing them. The JH-813 chair is an excellent representation of mid-century Danish design, with its sleek steel frame having integrated armrests and sled-style legs. Its sling seat and backrest are crafted from hand-stitched black saddle leather, offering the perfect contrast against the metal. This exceptional pair of JH-813 chairs is a rare find and will bring a touch of classic vintage Danish design to any contemporary living space or dining room.
