Created by Hans Wegner for GETAMA, this impressive convertible sofa/daybed boasts an exquisitely aged oak frame and a unique woven cane/rattan backrest that conceals a secret compartment for storing blankets, pillows, and more. Originally crafted in the early 1950s, the GE-7 model is particularly uncommon due to its rattan back. This daybed has been meticulously restored, with the rattan seat being rewoven and the original spring cushion being reupholstered in Kvadrat Steel cut trio fabric, designed by Frans Dijkmeijer. Additionally, the maker's stamp and mark lend to its overall appeal.
