This rare lounge chair was designed by the renowned Hans J Wegner. It is an early Getama model with wooden feet and a canvas-like cushion, later reproduced by PP Mobler. Originating from Denmark in the 1950s, this particular model is called GE 225, also known as the 'Flag Halyard'. Although the chair is in good vintage condition, the pillow has some sun fading that is typical for its age. The sheepskin, while likely a later addition, complements the overall look. Note that one string has frayed, but it is mostly hidden by the sheepskin. Replacement cord is available upon request. This model was showcased at The Arts & Crafts Spring Exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark in 1950 and has been featured in various publications. The dimensions are 104 W x 117 D x 38 Seat Height x 80 Total Height in cm. Shipping is possible worldwide, and it can also be transferred to our London or Belgium Gallery.
