Hans Wegner designed this rare chaise longue in 1954, which is made from solid fumed oak with brass hinges and iron hardware. It is a versatile piece of furniture that can function as a recliner or as a separate adjustable lounge chair with a stool. It can also be laid completely flat to create a stunning bench. The leather cushions have been reupholstered in a buttery soft cognac color leather. The manufacturer's mark, [GETAMA Gedsted Denmark Design Hans J. Wegner], is signed underneath each element. The lounge chair measures 34" H x 29" W x 48" D x 14.5" seat height, while the ottoman measures 14.5" H x 29" W x 23.5" D. This chaise is illustrated in Hans J. Wegner's 100 Chairs, Oda, pg. 72.
