Hans J. Wegner's CH88P dining chair is a prime example of his foray into materials, showcasing his talent for giving minimalist designs a plush and comfortable appeal through the harmonious integration of wood, steel, and upholstery. Initially conceived as a prototype for the Helsingborg Exhibition of 1955 in Sweden, the CH88P was recently manufactured (in 2014) for the first time. Constructed with a clever design, it can be stacked and is highly functional. The chair's steel frame and wooden seat and backrest combine to create an elegant appearance and comfortable form. Moreover, the CH88P offers versatility and increased comfort with an upholstered leather or fabric seat, while the CH88T model boasts an attractive form-pressed veneer seat. Measuring 17.5 inches in depth, 22.4 inches in width, and 30.1 inches in height, the lead image is of the chair that has a black-painted beech finish and utilizes Thor 301 leather.
