The CH26 dining chair, designed by Hans J. Wegner as part of his iconic series for Carl Hansen & Sà¬∏n, was meticulously produced in collaboration with the Hans J. Wegner Design Studio, adhering to Wegner's original working drawing. Although he never crafted a mock-up of the armchair, Wegner created a working drawing for transforming the CH22 lounge chair's structure into a dining chair, leading to the creation of the CH26. After years of obscurity, Carl Hansen & Sà¬∏n reintroduced the CH26 design in 2016, featuring similar organic shapes, refined back, and handwoven seat as the lounge version, but with improved proportions for longer sitting periods at a dining table or desk. The CH26 dining chair is constructed with wood and papercord and is available in other frame finish options, such as oak soap and walnut oil, and other seat finish options, such as natural papercord. The dimensions of the chair are 20.4in D x 23.3in W x 31.4in H.
