In 2016, Carl Hansen & Sà¬∏n reintroduced Hans J. Wegner's CH22 lounge chair, which boasts graceful armrests, a seat made of envelope-woven paper cord, and a back shell crafted from form-pressed veneer with notable oblong cover caps. The chair's intricate assembly is visible in the finger-jointed corners of the seat frame and the wooden wedges of the front legs, which contrast with the frame's color. Despite some updated manufacturing techniques, the CH22 is still meticulously handcrafted with the same attention to detail as it was in 1950 when Wegner oversaw production at the Hansen family facilities. The CH22 is part of a series that showcases Wegner's first masterpieces for Carl Hansen & Sà¬∏n. This lounge chair measures 27.4in D x 24.2in W x 28.6in H and is made of wood and papercord. It comes in an oak oil frame finish with a natural papercord seat finish, but other options are available, such as oak soap, walnut oil, oak painted black, oak/walnut oil, oak lacquer, oak white oil, walnut lacquer, and oak/walnut lacquer. A black papercord seat finish can also be selected. The chair weighs 95.26 LBS and is packaged in dimensions of 48.8 H x 20.3 W x 21.7 L.
