This is a beautifully crafted Mid-Century Modern round coffee table made from Teakwood, designed by the renowned Danish designer Hans J. Wegner and produced by Andreas Tuck during the 1950s-60s in Denmark, Scandinavia. Despite showing some signs of age and use, it remains in good condition. Wegner, born in 1914 in Tonder, Denmark and passed away in 2007, was a highly respected and acclaimed furniture designer, who honed his skills under the guidance of master cabinetmaker H.F. Stahlberg. His work was awarded major design prizes, including the Lunning prize and Grand Prix of the Milan Triennale. Andreas Tuck is one of Denmark's most famous furniture design companies, founded in the late 1940s in Odense, Denmark with Wegner among its most celebrated designers. Sadly, the company ceased operation in the early 1970s.
