This convertible daybed/sofa, crafted by Hans Wegner for GETAMA, showcases a striking oak frame that has developed a lovely patina over time. Its back seat is skillfully crafted from woven cane/rattan, which cleverly hides a secret compartment for storing blankets, pillows, and other items. Designed in the early 1950s, the GE-7 model is a rare piece, particularly with the rattan back. This vintage piece is in outstanding condition, displaying only minor wear to the wood. Its original spring cushion is upholstered in white "Hallingdal" wool, designed in 1965 by Nanna Ditzel. This wool and viscose fabric blend provides both durability and suppleness, coupled with a vivid and rich color finish. The item is stamped and marked by the maker, adding to the overall appeal.
