The wall-mounted shelf with drawers, crafted from oak and brass, was designed by the renowned French duo Guillerme et Chambron in the 1960s. This versatile piece can be placed on a sideboard and used to display cherished possessions, with three shelves and two drawers providing ample storage space. The brass handles on the drawers are elegantly shaped, adding a touch of sophistication to the design. Additionally, the top of the lower shelf can be used as a writing desk, further enhancing its functionality. Jacques Chambron and Robert Guillerme, both skilled in design and architecture, met during the Second World War as prisoners of war in East Prussia, and bonded over their shared love of interior design. In 1948, Chambron joined Guillerme in Lille, where they collaborated with cabinetmaker Emile Dariosecq and founded their own company, 'Votre Maison' (Your Home). Their focus was on creating furniture that was not only visually appealing, but also practical and useful in daily life. The trio worked together to produce over two thousand models during their career, leaving a lasting impact on the world of design with expressive woodwork and strong character evident in their pieces.
