, this piece is a stunning pair of armchairs known as the "Fumay" model, designed by the French duo Jacques Chambron and Robert Guillerme in 1965. The chairs are crafted in beautiful blond oak and showcase intricate and elegant lines in every element. With capricious shaped legs, beautifully curved armrests, and intricate woodwork on the back, this desk chair is open and light in character. It is upholstered in a blue striped fabric that complements the warm-toned wood, and boasts a lovely patina that highlights the stunning curves and lines. Jacques Chambron and Robert Guillerme were pioneers in postwar furniture production, and many of their designs, including this one, are characterized by their expressive woodwork and strong personality. They launched their collection, called "Votre Maison", which means "Your Home", in a small edition. The duo chose to use the machinery in an old factory previously used for making rifles for the production of their famous high back chairs. We recommend reupholstery before use, which can be done in our in-house restoration atelier by our experienced craftsmen who take great care to maintain the original look and value of the piece. For more information on the endless possibilities that our atelier offers, please contact our design experts. Local reupholstery options are also available.
