The corner desk from the 1960s is a masterpiece crafted by the renowned French designer duo of Guillerme and Chambron. The duo's exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship are on full display in this executive desk. The desk merges a tabletop with a cabinet that offers ample storage space, drawers, an open shelf, and a hidden shelf that can be opened downwards. The pull-out leaf extends the table, making it highly functional and versatile in its use. Jacques Chambron and Robert Guillerme started their furniture production after the Second World War. Chambron graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Reims, while Guillerme studied design and architecture at the école Boule and graduated first in his class in 1934. They met during their imprisonment by the Germans in East Prussia and bonded over their love for interior design. In 1948, Chambron resigned from his job as a painter and decorator in Paris to join Guillerme in Lille, where they set up their own company, which they named "Votre Maison." The company focused on combining functionality with a beautiful design useful for daily life, creating worldwide recognition. The three divided their work equally, with Guillerme working as a designer, Chambron as a commercial and Dariosecq's workshop manufacturing the pieces. They produced over two thousand models and left a lasting mark in the world of design with their expressive woodwork and strong character in most of their furniture designs.
