The France-made daybed by Guillerme and Chambron is a robust piece crafted from solid oak and adorned with intricate decorative details and sculpted legs, which are a signature characteristic of the duo's designs. Guillerme and Chambron were acclaimed for their ingenious space-saving solutions, evident in this daybed, which features a foldable wooden element that can serve as a small table. The olive green checked mattress is thick and tufted, maintaining its original upholstery, which is still in great condition. Jacques Chambron and Robert Guillerme established their production company, Votre Maison, in Lille, after the Second World War. They chose an old factory with equipment that had previously been used to manufacture rifles and repurposed it to produce their furniture pieces, focusing on chairs with high backs. The workshop created limited-run edition furniture, which they dubbed their "Votre Maison" collection, translating to "Your Home" in English.
