Unveiled at BaselWorld 2014, Glashütte Original showcased their expertise in intricate mechanical watchmaking with the introduction of a groundbreaking chronograph movement, meticulously crafted in their renowned manufactory in Glashütte. The innovative Calibre 37-01 column wheel chronograph takes center stage in the exquisite Senator Chronograph Panorama Date, available in two exquisite versions. One model boasts a platinum case complemented by a hand-finished silver dial, while the other features a red gold case paired with a lacquered silver grained dial. The timeless design of the Senator collection shines through in the harmonious aesthetics of the dial, exuding a sense of simplicity and sophistication. In its initial release, the Senator Chronograph Panorama Date was offered in two distinct variations. The first iteration showcases a silver grained dial with black railroad chapter ring and Roman numerals, housed in a meticulously crafted red gold case with a satin brushed and polished finish. Meanwhile, the second model presents a silver dial adorned with a laser-engraved black tachometric scale, railroad chapter ring, and Roman numerals, each meticulously filled in black before the dial undergoes a unique "silver plating by friction" process. This technique involves the hand-application of fine silver powder, resulting in a resilient and captivating silver dial, elegantly encased in a polished and satin brushed platinum case. Available in two references, the Ref. 1-37-01-02-03-30 boasts an alligator strap with a folding clasp, while the Ref. 1-37-01-02-03-50 is equipped with an alligator strap featuring a shorter folding clasp, catering to individual preferences with a touch of sophistication and style.
