The PanoMaticCounter XL watch showcases a unique and captivating counter complication in a sophisticated and efficient design. The striking red numerals contrast elegantly against the black background, displayed in a double-digit window at the 9 o’clock position. Control of the counter is facilitated by three pushers located on the left side of the stainless steel case – the plus pusher at 9 o’clock advances the count, the minus pusher at 8 o’clock counts down, and the zero pusher at 10 o’clock resets the counter to zero. A masterpiece of precision engineering, the PanoMaticCounter XL houses the renowned Calibre 96-01, a column wheel chronograph with a flyback function. Comprising 584 meticulously crafted components, this movement is derived from the award-winning Glashütte Original Caliber 95. Its innovative bilateral winding mechanism, utilizing step gears, efficiently transfers energy to the movement, adapting intelligently to the wearer’s behavior. The intricate counter complication, consisting of 217 individual parts, complements this exceptional movement. At the 3 o’clock position, opposite the counter window, the watch features the visually striking Glashütte Original panorama date display, presenting the date in white numerals against a black backdrop. The off-center hour and minute display on the lower half of the dial is aligned with the large chronograph stop-seconds scale on the upper half, enhancing readability. The galvanized black dial also includes the subsidiary seconds and 30-minute counters, rotated 60° for optimal visibility. This timepiece is available in three variations: Reference 1-96-01-02-02-04 with a folding clasp, Reference 1-96-01-02-02-50 with a short folding clasp, and Reference 1-96-01-02-02-01 with a pin buckle.
