These two charming blue ceramic bottles with lavish gold luster decorations were created by Bottega Gatti in Faenza as part of the Bottiglie Abitate series designed by Gio Ponti in the 1950s. These prized items were later manufactured in the 1990s by Cooperativa Ceramica Imola and are accompanied by their manufacturer's brand and signature beneath their bases. The set consists of a beautifully ornate bottle standing at 30 cm high and a buttoned bottle at 36 cm high. Gio Ponti, an influential figure in the modernist movement, made significant contributions to the fields of architecture and design with his exceptional furniture and ceramic work, as well as his educational, office, and residential building projects. His impressive accomplishments include the design of the Pirelli Tower, the Primo Palazzo Montecatini, and the Casa Marmont, among others. His legacy continues to inspire many in the world of architecture and design.
