He was a renowned architect, credited with designing the world-famous "Pirelli Tower" in Milan, a painter, a designer, and the founder of "Domus" magazine in 1928. Ponti even served as a teacher at the Politecnico di Milano, where he once studied. While many admire Ponti's design work on the "Parco dei Principi" hotel in Sorrento, his sister hotel in Rome, built just two years later, boasts impressive interior detailing. One of Ponti's designs for this hotel, a small side table, was produced by Cassina and showcases Italian elegance. It features a light blue laminated plywood top resting on a matt nickel plated tubular metal frame, making it a lavish addition to your furniture collection. Both the laminated top and the nickel plated metal frame have acquired a pleasing patina with time.
