These are six Leggera chairs - a symbol of amazing design by the renowned Architect Gio Ponti in 1951, excellently constructed by Cassina, all signifying the epitome of sophistication. They are black lacquered solid ash and have been newly adorned in cotton fabric that portrays a black and white pied de poule pattern, which is strikingly striking. Although some minor traces of use can be seen on the black structure of these chairs, they remain a delightful combination of the fabric and black lacquered wood, emulating the authentically identifiable style of the 1950s Italia Mid-Century Modern. The said chairs have been spotlighted in the Gio Ponti book by Ugo La Pietra - Rizzoli Ed. on pages 253 and 757, depicting their magnificence.
