This one-of-a-kind table prototype, crafted by George Nelson, boasts a 1.5 inch thick top made from exquisite Brazilian rosewood that Nelson personally picked during a visit to Brasilia and meeting with Oscar Niemeyer. Although this marvel was not mass-produced due to the pricey materials used, it served as a conference table at the George Nelson & Company office for an extended period before being gifted to one of the designers. For the past forty-five years, this masterpiece has been used as a dining table. Its rich history traces back to the George Nelson Associates in New York and is now part of a private collection.
