In 1946, George Nakashima, a skilled craftsman, crafted the N19 chair for Knoll as a mass-produced alternative to the Nakashima Studio's famous "Straight Chair." The design, which exudes a classic Shaker furniture feel and features a spindle back like the Windsor chair, saw its production halted by Knoll in 1954. The N19 boasts a walnut frame with a smooth, curved band serving as a backrest supported by tapered dowels and a solid walnut, ergonomically sculpted seat resting on four angled legs. Its dimensions measure at 22" width x 19.5" depth x 30" height x 18" seat height, making for a comfortable and stylish seating option. The chair is in excellent vintage condition and has undergone professional cleaning to maintain its integrity.
