George Nakashima crafted a lovely collection of four "Captain" chairs in his New Hope Studio back in 1976, using American black Walnut. Their striking design features exposed joints, with the backrest extending seamlessly into the arms. Thanks to their ergonomic seats, these chairs offer utmost comfort even during prolonged periods of use. The clients' surname is signed underneath the chairs. Complementing this set of chairs is a hand-drawn sketch by George Nakashima himself, along with other items that the owner acquired from the studio in 1976.
