The Gastone Rinaldi-designed table for Rima in the 60s features a sleek combination of steel, chrome and squared glass. Rinaldi, who hailed from Padua and worked for his family's Rima company, was in esteemed company with other Italian design greats like Giò Ponti, Carlo Mollino, and Alberto Rosselli. His DU30 chair produced by Rima secured him a Compasso d'Oro Award win in 1954. Later on, he founded his own company Thema in 1974, and went on to receive another Compasso d'Oro mention in 1981 for his Dafne chair and for the Aurora that same year. Even more impressively, his Saturno sofa is included in MoMA's prized modern art collection in New York. Rinaldi passed away in Padua in 2006.
