These P16 armchairs, crafted by Gastone Rinaldi for Rima in the 1960s, boast a tubular metal structure and are upholstered in a rich brown cognac shade skai for both the seat and back. Rinaldi was a skilled designer hailing from Padua, Italy, where his father founded RIMA, a company specializing in the production of metal furniture. Despite initially studying economics, Rinaldi's passions for design and sports led him to take over the family business with his brother in 1948. He collaborated with renowned designers and won awards for his creations, including the Compasso d'Oro for the DU30 chair in 1954. Though internal conflicts led him to establish his own brand, Thema, in 1974, Rinaldi's legacy persists even after his passing in 2006.
