The Model DU 55 P Italian Mid-Century Lounge Chairs by Gastone Rinaldi are a highly sought-after design that is known for its sculptural and unique shape. These chairs were originally produced by Rima in 1955, with Rinaldi's exceptional technical craftsmanship and fantastic design shining through. The chairs feature a steel structure, moulded polyurethane foam padding, and an elastic suspended backrest that takes full advantage of the metal tubing construction. Rima even filed a patent application to protect the design. The oak conical feet with brass caps add an elegant touch. These chairs have been beautifully reupholstered in a lovely oyster coloured fabric and are in excellent vintage condition.
