These rare lounge chairs were designed by Gastone Rinaldi in Italy in 1954 and are a truly beautiful and iconic pair. The shape of the chairs is sculptural and unique, with delicate armrests that merge into a backrest with filigree contours for maximum comfort. The legs of the chairs are also finely designed to blend seamlessly with the organically shaped seat. This model is an early example of European avant-garde design, similar to Danish modernism, with Rinaldi's focus on contour-soft and ergonomic shapes. Both chairs have been newly upholstered with a high-quality fabric by Dedar. The frame features oak legs, while the fabric is a beautiful natural white-beige boucle that feels incredibly soft. Both chairs were produced between 1955-1960 and are in excellent condition.
