Gaetano Pesce, a renowned designer known for his unconventional and innovative approach, has always pushed boundaries by experimenting with new materials. His Up-Series, which features chairs compressed and vacuum-sealed in PVC, garnered worldwide attention in the 1960s. In the 1980s, he continued to design unique furniture made of polyurethane resin, such as the iconic green street chair and broadway chair. This stunning bowl, named 'Tutti Frutti', was created in 1996 and is an early, large edition by Pesce for Fish Design. It's made of soft polyurethane resin in the three colors of the Italian flag and manufactured using what's known as the 'spaghetti technique'. Each piece is unique in form, and this particular bowl is numbered 273 and marked with the Fish Design stamp. Fish Design, also known as Pesce Desegno in Italian, is based in Milan, Italy, and was established in 1995 in New York. The bowl is a limited edition and measures 17.3 inches (44 cm) in diameter and 5.7 inches (14.5 cm) in height. Its striking colors and unique shape make it a one-of-a-kind piece that's sure to be a conversation starter in any room.
