The Yamagiwa Frank Lloyd Wright "Taliesin III" chandelier P2430 pendant fixture in cherrywood boasts a stunning geometric motif and is an extremely rare and highly sought-after piece. It was produced in limited quantities and marked #002, signed, and still in its original box, indicating that it has never been installed. This is the only authorized production of this design, which originated from the original gymnasium renovation for Wright's Hillside home school in 1933. The design was later modified for use in the dining room and adapted into floor and table lamp versions for Wright's personal use in Taliesin III. The fixture's design is inspired by trees and their upward growth, with wooden boxes concealing the lights and wooden reflectors acting as leaves to filter and diffuse the light. Wright's signature red accents serve as blossoms, making the fixture captivating even when not lit. Taliesin III, located in Wisconsin, is Wright's 37,000 square foot home and estate that showcases buildings from nearly every decade of his career. It has been designated as a National Historic Landmark and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The property is managed by Taliesin Preservation, Inc., and is home to many recreational facilities and the school of architecture at Taliesin.
