This magnificent set was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright during the early 1950s for Heritage Henredon, showcasing a low dining table or game table and matching chairs made of mahogany wood. It previously resided in Chicago for years before becoming a prized acquisition of our gallery, which has since restored it to pristine condition. The stunning design features a Mayan-style Greek key design in a verdant green patina on the copper band that runs around the table's circumference. Our restoration included selecting the upholstery on the solid mahogany carved chairs to complement the patinated copper by choosing a sumptuous emerald green cotton velvet. This complete set also includes the original leaf to expand the table from 54" to 66". Frank Lloyd Wright left an indelible mark on American architecture and design as an architect, designer, educator, and writer. His contribution to the Heritage Henredon design line garnered immediate collectibility, and today, finding a set as complete and marvelously restored as this one is rare and truly collectible. It is displayed alongside a George Nakashima for Widdicomb desk, a Paul Evans for Directional credenza, and a Paul McCobb sofa, all of which create a striking and effortless impact together.
