The Ford EXP was a sporty two-door coupe first introduced in 1981. It was designed to be a more fuel-efficient and affordable alternative to the Mustang, with a smaller engine and lighter body. The EXP was available in both standard and turbocharged versions, with the latter being marketed as the "EXP Turbo." The car featured a sleek and aerodynamic design, with features such as pop-up headlights and a long, sloping hood. It also had a roomy interior for a two-seater, with comfortable bucket seats and a console-mounted shifter. Some of the notable features of the Ford EXP included power windows and locks, air conditioning, and a sound system with cassette player. Safety features such as front and rear anti-lock brakes and a driver's side airbag were added in later model years. Although the EXP was not a huge commercial success, it was an important step for Ford in exploring new markets and developing innovative and efficient vehicles. It remains a classic example of 1980s automotive design and engineering.
