The Ford Courier was a compact pickup truck produced by Ford Motor Company between 1972 and 1982. The 2nd generation of the Ford Courier, manufactured from 1977 to 1982, featured a more angular and modernized design, with a flatter hood and more prominent grille. It was available in a variety of configurations, including regular cab and extended cab body styles, with either a four-speed manual or three-speed automatic transmission. The second-generation Courier was powered by a 2.0-liter I4 engine that produced 72 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque, with an optional 2.3-liter engine providing 90 horsepower and 121 lb-ft of torque. It had a payload capacity of up to 1,600 pounds and was designed to be an economical, reliable, and versatile work truck for urban and rural environments.
