The Ford GPA (also known as the Seep) was an amphibious vehicle built during World War II. It was designed to transport troops and supplies across both land and water, making it a versatile and valuable asset on the battlefield. The GPA was essentially a modified version of the Ford GPW Jeep, featuring a waterproof hull, propellers, and a rudder for steering in water. It could accommodate up to 8 passengers in addition to the driver and co-driver, and had a top speed of about 50 mph on land and 6 mph in water. Despite its capabilities, the GPA wasn't widely used in combat due to some performance issues and limitations. Nevertheless, it remains a unique and interesting piece of military history that represents the ingenuity and innovation of wartime engineering.
