Critic tasting note: "Of the three Aluvional wines, this is the most representative of its origin. Malbec tends to be monolithic, hard, and austere in the alluvial soils of Altamira. Compared with its “nemesis,” Gualtallary, which is pure effusiveness and aromas, Altamira seems more timid. This is a good example of that. It has the tension and freshness of all the Zuccardi wines, but it also has the monolithic, austere, Romanesque cathedral-type of austerity. This is one of 2 wines, Piedra Infinita and Canal Uco, and all of the vineyards are 10–15 years old. 70% of the grapes were fermented in cement and the rest in used 500-liter barrels." - 95/100, Patricio Tapia - Descorchados
