These vintage armchairs, designed by Ettore Sottsass for Knoll in 1983, are a rare find and in remarkable condition. The oversized chairs come in three different shades of red and violet and rest on heavy enameled steel feet. With their original, well-preserved upholstery, these lounge chairs are both stylish and comfortable and would make a great addition to any home. The only minor flaw is a slight foam deformation on one armrest. Sold as a pair, they are labeled Knoll and measure H.30.7" x W.38.2 x D.29.52", with a seating height of 14.17 cm. These chairs come from a villa in Vienna and can be shipped internationally, professionally crated, and with white glove service available in NYC and LA. In 1983, Sottsass created the Eastside and Westside collections for Knoll, drawing inspiration from Viennese Biedermeier chairs and ancient art and architecture, which can be seen in the geometric shapes and color-blocked upholsteries of these iconic designs.
