This vase, created by Ettore Sottsass for a collection of twenty-seven woods for Chinese artificial flowers, was edited by Design Gallery Milano in 1995. This particular vase is a limited edition of 12 numbered pieces, and is number 7 out of 12. Despite showing minor wear consistent with its age and use, the vase is in overall good original condition and is adorned with a beautiful patina. Ettore Sottsass was an Italian architect and designer known for his work in furniture, jewelry, glass, lighting, and office machine design. He worked with Olivetti in 1956 as a design consultant and made a name for himself by incorporating color, form, and styling into office equipment. In the 1980s, he founded the design consultancy Sottsass Associati, which became renowned for its architectural and industrial design work. This vase does not include any flowers.
